Specific Heat

Entrusted with the supply, installation and
associated project management of brand new heating and air conditioning systems throughout the hotel, its restaurant, bars, nightclub and 18 individually designed suites, the project presented some interesting challenges. Like installing a spectacular twin shower in the New York suite (from which guests could watch the giant bathroom's plasma TV) and a novel displacement ventilation system in the bars and Shanghai nightclub.

With aesthetics playing a paramount role, the perforated kiln ventilation system was transformed into a decorative column, complete with cornicing and fine detailing. It's one of the few projects Specific Heat has completed where the client has actually made a feature of our work.
