Case Studies / Edinburgh City Chambers

please,...

Originally designed by John Adam, the City Chambers on Edinburgh's High Street is one of the Capital's most celebrated buildings. Its boilerhouse may not enjoy quite the same reputation, but Specific Heat took equal pride in the quality and finish of its refit.

Specific Heat's engineers really went the extra mile: organising all the necessary traffic management and diversions; replacing the existing boilers with 98% efficient new ones; maintaining a supply of hot water to the Chambers throughout; installing a temporary heating plant just in case; doing all our own snagging and finishing the whole thing off with a lick of paint.

The workmanship was of an especially high standard and Specific Heat's attention to detail resulted in a top quality job - worthy of the City Council and one of Edinburgh's most illustrious buildings.
